Troubleshoot

This article explains how to obtain the log files from your environment so you can check for specific errors on the server side, or when asked by a member of the Support team.

Log files are organised in two a couple of different folders:

  • one for Write-Back Manager where you get information about setup

  • another for Write-Back itself where you will have access to information about the actual execution of Write-Back.

Step 1: Locate Write-back log files for Server

Default The default location of the server logs areis:

<installation_path>\Xpand-IT\Write-Back\apache-tomcat\logs

Step 2: Locate Write-back log files for Write-back Manager

Default The default location of the Write-back Manager logs areis:

<installation_path>\Xpand-IT\Write-Back\manager\apache-tomcat\apache-tomcat\logs

Step 3: Locate Write-back log files for the Write-back Installer

The default location of the Write-back Installer logs is:

<installation_path>\Xpand-IT\Write-Back\installer_logs

Step 4: Locate Write-back log files for Write-back Proxy

The default location of the Write-back Proxy logs is:

<installation_path>\Xpand-IT\Write-Back\nginx\logs

Step 5: Make a zip file of the log folder

If logs have been requested by the Support team has requested logs please compressed compress them on into a zip file and attach them to the support ticket.
